July started with launch week at Kiwi Fitness! Two of the other BodyPump instructors joined me in my Monday morning class to launch BodyPump 86! In the goal of being festive for the 4th of July, we wore red, white, and blue and some crazy socks. It was SO fun to be on stage with these other two ladies.
Matt and I both had the 4th of July off this year so we got together with our friends for a cookout and some fireworks. The boys did a great job grilling while we stayed inside and made the potatoes and guacamole...and then ate all the guac before the boys could even have any :). After dinner, we headed downtown to watch the fireworks on top of a building by Rob's office. They were awesome!
I had to work the weekend after the 4th, but luckily was able to get off a couple hours early on Sunday for a concert with my mom! We saw Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox Twenty in concert and our seats were in the pavilion (which was so exciting because we usually sit in the lawn for concerts). Our seats were pretty awesome! Goo Goo Dolls were awesome and sang all of their hits, but Matchbox Twenty blew it out of the park. I had never seen them in concert, but now I would love to see them again and again. Rob Thomas is such a smooth performer and they were all so thankful for us being there. They pounded out like 8 hits in a row, played a couple new songs that I still really loved, and then ended the show with more hits. They didn't even have to sing-the crowd was singing so loud we could have been the performers. My mom and I just danced and danced and sang our hearts out. It was awesome because I remember listening to Matchbox Twenty when I was little driving around with my mom. SO fun!
We celebrated Jax's 3rd birthday on the 9th. I had to work, but when I got home I took him on a walk-his favorite! I can't believe this little guy is 3!
